National Validation Workshop for the
NAP EVAW 2025-2030

Following the four (4) regional validation workshops on the development of the National Action Plan to End VAW (NAP EVAW) 2025-2030, the Philippine Commission on Women (PCW) through the IACVAWC Secretariat successfully completed its National Validation Workshop. This was conducted in partnership with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) at The Hotel Lucky Chinatown in Binondo, Manila from October 10-11, 2024.

A total of 108 participants representing various NGAs, NGOs, and women’s rights organizations attended the national workshop to validate the proposed strategies, indicators, projects, and programs outlined in the NAP EVAW.

The national validation workshop also included participants from Southern Luzon regional line agencies, LGUs, barangays, MOVE Chapters, and NGOs. They shared valuable inputs based on their knowledge and actual experiences of implementing Republic Act No. 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004 in their respective jurisdictions and localities.

With generous support from UNFPA, the NAP EVAW underwent a rigorous review process with stakeholders from the local to the national level. This ensures that the NAP EVAW is comprehensive, inclusive, and responsive to the needs of women and their children.
